DMV SPINE & PAIN
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this letter.
I sincerely believe in providing honest and compassionate care to my patients who are suffering with acute or chronic pain. In my opinion, living with pain is like many chronic medical conditions that affect patients in more ways than only physical discomfort. Pain can affect a person’s mood, lifestyle, and negatively impacts their psychosocial and socioeconomic quality of life. It is true that for some chronic pain conditions, there is no cure. However, most conditions causing chronic pain can be managed in a thoughtful, meticulous, and efficient manner to minimize the impact on an individual’s lifestyle.
Unfortunately, there will be some instances where I don’t have the answer or expertise or ability to help a patient with their ongoing condition. If this happens, I promise to be honest and forthcoming, and can help direct care to a doctor or facility that may be able to help.
I strive to educate patients about their medical ailments and design a collaborative treatment plan with their input and preference. My patients should feel comfortable talking to me about their condition and understand that my recommendations are based on experience, safe and effective medicine guidelines, and protocols.
It is my privilege to help my patients at the time of an acute need, and to see a patient’s pain improve.
I look forward to meeting you and establishing a collaborative respectful relationship to strategize a treatment plan to lessen pain and suffering.
